Matami and Azadar (mourners) in the sight of Masumeen. (A.S)


"It is reported that when Holy Prophet (peace of Allah be upon him and his progeny) informed his para-e-jigar(beloved daughter) Hazrat Fatima Tuz Zahra (A.S) of her (A.S) son Hazrat Imam Hussain's (A.S) murder and those sufferings he would suffer Hazrat Fatima Tuz Zahra (A.S) wept bitterly and burst into tears, and said: O Father! When this will happen. He said: in the period when neither me and you nor Hazrat Ali (A.S) will be there. Hazrat Faitma Tuz Zahara (A.S) said O Father, then who will weep over him and who will establish majlis-e-matam and aza?.Holy Prophet (peace of Allah be upon him and his progeny) said: The women of my Ummah will weep over the women of my Ahle Bayt (A.S), and their men over the men of my Ahle Bayt (A.S), and they will refresh aza (mourning) generation after generation each year. And on the day of judgement you will intercede (shafa'at) the women and me, will intercede the men. And he/she who wept and cried over the sufferings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) we will hold his/her hand and will make him/her enter the heaven." It is reported in kaamil-uz-ziaraat, compiled by sheikh ut Ta'efa Abil Qasim Jaffer bin Muhammad bin Qoalveyh that sadiq-e-Aal-e-Muhammad Hazrat Imam Jafer-e-Saadiq (A.S) prayed for the visitors of Imam Hussain's (A.S) Holy grave and the mourners of Imam Hussain (A.S) while in prostration (sajdah) in namaz (prayer/salat) which also contained these words:




" O Allah show your mercy to those faces which have changed with the heat of sun for us. And show your mercy to those cheeks which touched the grave of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) and how your mercy to those eyes which shed tears in our love. And show your mercy to those hearts which are being perturbed and grieved in our love. And show your mercy to those cries which are being raised for our sufferings."
